The Golf Trendline Van is based on Ireland's best-selling car and is powered by a 90hp 1.6-litre TDI engine.

Based on the three-door Golf, the Golf Van has a load capacity of 1,310 litres and is expected to be a popular choice for small business users.

Golf Van offers excellent fuel economy of 3.8 l/100km on the combined cycle thanks to BlueMotion technology.

Standard equipment includes leather steering wheel, front centre armrest, 5" touch-screen 'Composition Colour' radio system, climatic air conditioning and a multi-function display.

Available as a €695 option is the Business Package, which comes with 5.8" 'Composition Media' radio system, Bluetooth, multi-function steering wheel, cruise control and a media input for iPod/iPhone.

"It is great to be able to offer the Golf Van in the Irish market again, now in Mark 7 guise," said Paul Burke, Operations Director of Volkswagen Ireland.

"There is a strong demand for this vehicle from small business users as it offers the best of both worlds, namely the comfort and quality of a Golf with the load-carrying capacity of a light commercial vehicle."
