Six Nations medal winner and Ireland and Leinster scrumhalf Eoin Reddan has joined RTÉ's Ryan Tubridy to encourage Irish, US and European companies based in Ireland to participate in an exciting sporting challenge this July.

The Inaugural Jaguar Golf Classic for the Irish Youth Foundation (IYF) will take place in the prestigious K Club on July 4 2014.

As the event takes place on US Independence Day, and 2014 is a Ryder Cup year, the 26 teams participating will be divided into Team USA and Team Europe, and will compete Ryder Cup-style.

All funds raised will go to supporting Irish Youth Foundation-funded projects for at-risk and disadvantaged children in Ireland.

The teams will enjoy a great day of golf at the K Club and attend a gala dinner that evening with entertainment by celebrity impersonator Oliver Callan.

Niall McLoughlin, IYF Director of Development, said: "We are very excited about hosting our first golf event and thank Jaguar Ireland for their support for this exciting 4th of July challenge.

"We have had a great response already to the event from Irish, US and European companies based here and hope to fill the 26 teams to help raise much-needed funds for some of our key projects.

"The money raised will fund projects which work with children who often experience poverty, parental misuse of drugs, and alcohol, crime and mental health issues. These projects are beacons of hope which enhance and improve their lives."

Melanie McCourt, Jaguar Marketing Manager, said: "We are proud to support the Irish Youth Foundation and the excellent work it does to bring help and relief to young people in need.

"We're very much looking forward to the Jaguar Golf Classic in the K Club in July where our full range of Jaguar models will be on display, including the new F-TYPE Coupé."
