Built on the EMP2 platform, the big Picasso weighs in at up to 110kg less than its predecessor.
Record low CO2 emissions are claimed from just 98g/km and fuel economy is improved too, with consumption figures as low as 3.8l/100km.
Grand C4 Picasso is safe, with a Five-Star EuroNCAP safety rating.
It also scored an excellent 88% in the Child Occupant category.
Although the latest model is virtually the same length as its predecessor (4.59m), the EMP2 platform has allowed Citroën's engineers to extend the wheelbase to 2.84m (the longest in the category) to provide class-leading cabin space in rows two and three.
There is enhanced access, especially to row three, through optimised door apertures.
Plus, there is an extra 69 litres of useable load space (645 litres VDA) and over 793 litres with row two seats in their forward position.
