Sponsored by Continental Tyres Ireland, the overall winner of the 2014 title will be announced at an awards ceremony in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Santry, on Thursday November 21.

There are five categories: Small Car, Compact Family Car, Family Car, Luxury/Executive and Performance/Sports. From the category winners an overall winner will be selected.

The winner of last year's Continental Irish Car of the Year was the BMW 3 Series.
