Mazda Motors Ireland has announced the appointment of Tony Howarth as the company's new Managing Director.

He will relocate to Dublin and take up his new position in April 2013. As Managing Director, he will take responsibility for all Mazda activities in the Republic of Ireland.

His strategic focus will be on growth of the Mazda brand in Ireland leveraging the strength of Mazda's sixth- generation of products, including the all-new Mazda6.

Howarth has broad multi-franchise motor industry experience.
Joining Mazda UK in 2004 as Business Manager, he was subsequently promoted in 2007 to his present role of Regional Business Manager, running the Mazda team in Northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Howarth's focus is to improve dealer sales per outlet and focus on profitability through the implementation of performance-driven sales and after-sales programmes.
