VRT freeze

VRT freeze

Mazda Ireland tells us it wants to help drivers beat the Budget by driving down the cost of new car ownership.

Mazda has frozen the VRT increase on the Mazda2 – the Japanese brand's stylish super-mini.

With a VRT saving of €500 on all Mazda2 models, the 2013 Mazda2 is available from €14,795.

In addition, Mazda is looking to ease the cost of change: customers can avail of up to €1,500 Trade-In Bonus allowance.

One of the stars of this segment, the stylish Mazda2 built its reputation on reliability and build quality.

Ultra-nimble and responsive driving manners make it one of the benchmark cars for driving dynamics.

The Mazda2 Sensu is the best-selling Mazda2 model in Ireland.

Now with Bluetooth fitted as standard, other equipment highlights include: air conditioning, 15" alloy wheels, steering wheel audio controls, extra roof and side airbags, and electric-folding heated door mirrors.

With a lightweight yet rigid body construction, the Mazda2 sips fuel and produces far fewer CO2 emissions.

The Mazda2 delivers 5.0L/100kms (54MPG) while yearly road tax from January 2013 is €200 (Band A4), thanks to the low CO2 output of 115g.

The Mazda2 delivers some of the B-segment's best crash safety, achieving the highest possible ranking of five stars in the Euro-NCAP testing.

Its passive safety package includes six airbags, ABS, electronic brake force distribution (EBD) and emergency brake assist.
