The Voice of Ireland proved to be a winning formula with viewers and Volkswagen is delighted to renew its successful sponsorship with the show, which this year will be sponsored by the new Volkswagen Golf.

The Voice proved to be a huge hit with young and old alike with an average of just under 600,000 tuning in each night. Equally Volkswagen mirrors this success in every territory and here in Ireland it is the number one selling brand year-to-date.
John Donegan, Sales and Marketing Director of Volkswagen Passenger cars said: “Volkswagen is delighted to be a proud sponsor of the Voice of Ireland again. We had great success last year and look forward to associating the New Golf with such a show.”

Dermot Rigley, Cross Media Manager RTÉ said: “Volkswagen has secured a powerful association with The Voice of Ireland across all of RTÉ’s market-leading platforms- RTÉ Television, RTÉ Radio and RTÉ.ie. This sponsorship represents further support of our unique offering and acts as a great endorsement of RTÉ’s output and its powerful audience reach. We’re delighted to welcome Volkswagen on board.”

The all-new seventh generation of the Golf is going on sale in dealerships next month and the new car is bigger and more fuel-efficient than the model it replaces and has ultra-low emissions with the core diesel model boasting emissions of just 99g/km. With a starting price of just €19,995, the new Golf also offers outstanding value. With 29 million cars sold across the world, here in Ireland the Golf has been a top-seller for generations and has been Volkswagen’s most popular car in Ireland for three decades.

The Voice of Ireland will return to our screens in the New Year.
