The contestants try some island foraging and are given a masterclass from Nathan Outlaw.

In this programme, our Final five take to the high seas to the smallest of the Aran Islands, Inis Oirr, where they meet with local man Enda Conneely from the South Aran Cookery School who teaches them how to forage on the seashore.

However it’s not all fresh air and sunshine for our amateur cooks as they must get back in the heat of the MasterChef kitchen for their 3rd Masterclass – from 2* Michelin Fish Chef Nathan Outlaw from Cornwall who teaches them firstly how to fillet a salmon, before giving them a MasterClass making one of his signature dishes.

The contestants then are faced with the immense task of filleting their own salmon. They then must take what they’ve learned from their island foraging and put it to use as they try and recreate Nathan’s dish.

This is the ultimate in cooking tasks and the road has just got tougher in testing the cooking prowess of our final 5 contestants in MasterChef Ireland. Who can survive the heat and make it to the Final 4?

The fight for that MasterChef trophy has just got harder.
