The application deadline has been extended to Friday, June 1 due to applicants asking for more time to fill out the forms, so you have until the end of the week to enter the show.
Visit www.rte.ie/masterchef to apply to the show for your chance to win the coveted title of MasterChef Champion and a cash prize of €25,000!
Once again, successful applicants will be trying to impress Michelin-starred chef Dylan McGrath and top restaurateur Nick Munier and the last 16 contestants chosen by the duo will be competing for the €25,000 prize that comes with the title.
Judge McGrath said: "We want to find Ireland's best amateur cook and we want to hear from everyone in Ireland who thinks they have what it takes to be the next MasterChef champion.
"MasterChef Ireland is such a great opportunity to show off the talent that exists in Ireland at an amateur level, and to showcase the Irish produce that we have. Although we have a small population, I'm absolutely confident that we can compete at an international level."
Munier added: "I'm hoping to see exceptional cooks that operate by instinct and have a natural flair for taste and flavour. This could be a life-changing opportunity for the winner and I want to find someone with the determination and drive to succeed, regardless of their background."
The show's executive producer, Larry Bass, said of the new series: "Last year's series was a huge hit and really captured the public imagination. This year we expect it to be even bigger and better!
"We are looking for brilliant amateur cooks who will be available to take part in a busy filming schedule over this summer. You need to be obsessed with food and cooking and up for a challenge. We want to hear from all over Ireland, so if you think you're a fantastic amateur cook get online now and apply at www.rte.ie/masterchef."
The closing date for applications is June 1, and more details on applying and terms and conditions are available at: www.rte.ie/masterchef.
