A classic dessert with a beautiful taste and texture.
This is a great dinner party dessert. I’ve also made this using rice flour instead of the regular flour, which I believe is okay for certain coeliacs to eat.

I often put chilies in the freezer as it seems to make them fairly mild and then I don’t bother to de-seed them and they’re never too hot. They’re also very easy to slice when frozen.

This is lovely, simple dish - a perfect lemony, nutty, buttery balance. It would even work as a snack or as a casual starter.
