With three locations spread across the capital, close to some of the major entertainment venues of the city, ely are now offering intimate lessons and kitchen skills classes for budding foodies. Their cookery school teaches essential kitchen techniques and recipes, used daily in their restaurants, to bring the ely experience home.
On Tuesday March 27th, ely’s executive chef, Ryan Stringer, will demonstrate how to cook the perfect three-course Easter Sunday dinner for all the family, and our award-winning sommelier will guide you through the ideal wines to serve with it. Places are €49 per person, an absolutely special and thoughtful Mother’s Day gift if anyone hasn’t thought of one yet!
In May, ely offer two different cookery classes – superfood and fish. On Tuesday the 8th, ely will take a look at the superfood category and teach you some delicious and innovative recipes. On Tuesday the 29th, their class will teach you all about selecting, preparing and cooking fish. Sometimes a bone of contention for people, but cooking confidently with fish is such a skill to have. The class will also highlight wine and fish dish matching. A spot at either night comes in at €49 per person. Summer 2012 looks set to be a sports-tastic one with both the Euro Finals and the Olympics taking place. What better food to go with sporting events than BBQ! The BBQ class is the perfect way for you to prepare for a summer of entertaining friends at home! The class will include preparing meat, fish, vegetables and marinades for the BBQ to give you the wow factor for your summer barbeque get-togethers. Taking place on Tuesday 5th of June, €49 per person.
Finally in the heat of the Summer sun, celebrate with our American cousins on the 4th of July with an Independence Day celebration. At ely’s USA night, they will teach you a repertoire of fun and funky dishes from across the American continent, finishing the evening off with a lesson on American wines and beers. €55 per person.
