Australian wine brand Jacob’s Creek have launched a totally new range of wines - Jacob’s Creek Cool Harvest - that are harvested under the stars in the cool of the night producing wines that are deliberately crisp, light and delicate in style.
The entire winemaking process for Jacob’s Creek Cool Harvest is focussed on maximising freshness, crispness and vibrancy, making it perfect for enjoying lunch with friends and informal entertaining. Carefully harvesting the grapes at night, in cooler conditions, ensures all the fresh fruit flavours and the delicate aromas that the winemakers see in the vineyard are captured in the finished wines. This process retains optimum ripeness and maximum freshness and allows the skilled Jacob’s Creek wine making team to deliver a vibrant and refreshing new style of wines.
According to Rebekah Richardson, Sparkling and White Winemaker, Jacob’s Creek “The process of night time harvesting behind the new Cool Harvest range delivers a uniquely fresh and crisp taste for Irish wine drinkers to enjoy. The range is slightly lower in alcohol compared to many other wines making it a perfect light refreshing wine for enjoyment anytime of the day or night.”
Cool Harvest is widely available in Ireland and the range which retails at €10.49 includes:
Jacob’s Creek Cool Harvest Vermentino 2011
Jacob’s Creek Cool Harvest Shiraz Rose 2011
