Kristen Stewart has made her first official public appearance since news of her affair with Rupert Sanders.
Fans were shocked this July when the actress admitted to an “indiscretion” with married director Rupert Sanders, meaning she had cheated on her boyfriend and Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson.
She has been keeping a low profile ever since, skipping the London premiere of her new movie On The Road, an adaption of Jack Kerouac’s novel.
Stewart made a return to work last night appearing on the red carpet for the drama's screening at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival in Canada.
She chose a floral couture dress by Zuhair Murad for the event, posed for photos with co-stars Garrett Hedlund and Kirsten Dunst and met with fans who had waited hours for their arrival.
Speaking to an ETOnline.com reporter she said: "I do kind of black out a little when I show up at places like this, and I've felt so welcomed. I'm so proud of the movie... Everyone who cares about this book has been waiting forever to see it, so I think that's the most important thing."
Robert Pattinson was also in the spotlight on last night - he took to the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards to present a trailer for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2, which is set for release in November.
