Victoria Beckham opens up about turning 40

Victoria Beckham appears on August's Vogue cover as you've never seen her before.

The usually ultra glam VB is rarely seen without her skyscraper Louboutins and oversized sunnies, but this time opted for something a lot more low key.

The star looked the epitome of gardener chic for her third cover with the famous magazine, as she donned an oversized baggy jumper by Max Mara, a Stephen Jones floppy hat and Hunter wellies.

The stunning pictures were taken by photographer Patrick Demarchelier with the picturesque setting of the shoot being an 18th-century rectory in southeast England.

The fashion designer spoke to British Vogue about how she feels after turning 40 in April, reflecting on her life and how far she has come from the days of Spice Girls to being a mother of four.

"I looked at it and said to myself, I have four incredible children, an incredible husband, a business that's doing very well.  I've worked hard and achieved a lot.  I don't think I could have achieved much more…"

Victoria went for a more casual look for the issue

Deputy Editor of the prestigious publication Emily Sheffield, interviewed Victoria over a few days. During this time, she went shopping with her and heard about her family.

"I wouldn’t be where I am without David. He gives me the security and encouragement to do what I do. I do the same for him," she said of her footballer husband, who celebrates 15 years of marriage with on July 4.

Sharing stories of family holidays in LA, dinners with celebrity pal Gwyneth Paltrow and the "challenging" fitness routine that she swears by, Beckham also says that she has no regrets.

"Well I wouldn't do anything differently," she said. "I've always worked hard and had a lot of fun, so there's nothing I would change."

The August issue of British Vogue will be available from Monday July 7.
