Lupita celebrates her first Vogue cover

The past few months have been a whirlwind for Lupita Nyong'o, both in the film and fashion world, and now she has landed herself on the cover of US Vogue.

With A-listers and fashion royalty’s seal of approval under her belt, the Kenyan beauty seems to have the world at her feet. Not only did she pick up an Oscar for her performance in 12 Years A Slave, as well as becoming the face of Lancôme, she can now also celebrate her new Vogue cover girl title.

Thanks to her standout performance in 12 Years A Slave, Lupita has gone from unknown drama student at Yale University to Best Supporting Actress Oscar winner. Her undeniable charm has earned her ‘Hollywood’s Darling’ title with the media.

The 31-year-old is still in shock over her rise to fame, telling the glossy magazine, “It just feels like the entertainment industry exploded into my life. People who seemed so distant all of a sudden were right in front of me and recognising me - before I recognised them!”

Lupita, the Most Beautiful Person of 2014, as named by People magazine, looked stunning on the cover in a patterned Prada Fall 2014 dress. Inside the issue, she dons gorgeous designs by Givenchy and Proenza Schouler.

Lupita's star will still continue to rise, as she has been confirmed to star in Star Wars: Episode VII, which will be out next year.
