Irish designers recognised at BFAs 2013

Two Irish designers were recognised at last night's prestigious British Fashion Awards.

Simone Rocha picked up the Emerging Talent for Womenswear award, beating off competition from Thomas Tait and Marques’Almeida.

The designer, who is the daughter of John Rocha, has become renowned for her fresh and youthful designs, which often incorporate neon, lace, patent and metallic tones,

She arrived on the red carpet in a gorgeous pastel pink jacket and matching skirt, accessorising the look with a leopard print bag and black patent brogues.

Derry native JW Anderson was also honoured at the London ceremony, winning the New Establishment Award. Last year, the designer took home the Best Emerging Talent gong.
