Fashion icon Alexa Chung has said that she is excited her new collaboration with Eyeko has given her the opportunity to have more creative input in her style ventures.

The 30-year-old star who has fronted campaigns for the likes of Maje, Lacoste and L'Oreal admitted that she is bored of always being in front of the camera and hopes her new collaboration with cosmetics brand Eyeko is the start of having more creative input in her fashion ventures.

Speaking to Stylist magazine, Chung said: ''Often brands will want you to front them, but there's no room to actually have creative input. This is something that really appeals to me, especially as I get older.

''For me, it was a missed opportunity. So now I think, I'm going to filter it; make sure it's something I create. There are plenty of celebrities that 'design' collections. It's hard to prove that you're really doing it.''
