Bead and crystal experts Yellow Brick Road have teamed up with Swarovski for workshops on November 15 and 16.
These diamond and crystal studded workshops are being held in Yellow Brick Road's craft studio on Liffey Street, as craft and industry experts gather for the day-long workshops.
A nominal €30 admission free for the workshops will be split between too charities - Temple Street Children's and the Ash Animal Sanctuary. On top of this, every participant will leave with a fantastic Swarovski Elements and Yellow Brick Road goodie bag.
Owner Stacey Neilson said of the event: "The people who will benefit most from these workshops are those working in the design, bridal industry, dressmaking, Irish dancing and fashion industry. We are Ireland’s only certified distributor of Swarovski Elements. Our clients benefit from a huge selection of quality Swarovski products which are applied to everything from shoes to jackets, scarves to shorts, wedding dresses and Irish dancing dresses to various ornate headpieces.
"These two days will be of particular interest to the bridal fraternity who are interested in iron, sew or glue on techniques and those involved in the design aspect of evening wear and haute couture."
The workshops will include demonstrations on:
Applying beads and rhinestones by hand sewing
Applying beads and rhinestones to fabric by hand, using glues
Applying pre-glued ‘Hot Fix’ rhinestone crystals to fabric manually with the use of specific tools
A new concept for designers where their uniquely-designed motif can be manufactured to the designer’s specifications.
