Alexa Chung has signed a deal to collaborate with cosmetics brand Eyeko.

According to Women’s Wear Daily, the style icon will be releasing a set which includes waterproof black eyeliner, and waterproof black mascara.

Speaking to the magazine Chung said: "Liquid liner is my saviour. Other people like other things to feel like they look normal, but for me, I’m pretty much naked without my eyeliner on. It’s my comfort blanket.”

Owners of the British indie make-up brand, Max and Nina Leykind, explained how the creative process works between themselves and the 29-year-old fashionista.

They said: “She’ll e-mail us in the middle of the night and say, ‘Hey, what about this, such a cool name for a product,’. I don’t think it would work if we weren’t on the same wavelength.”

Similarly, Chung revealed how she began coming up with ideas for the collaboration right from her first meeting with the brand in an east London café.

She said: "Maybe it was the hangover, but my head was loosened up and I came up with at least 50 things."

She added: "It's a creative relationship I send images and different inspirations to Max and Nina and we go from there. It's quite free form at the moment.''

Alexa Chung for Eyeko is set to hit stores in November.
