The fashion world's hottest talent, 28-year-old Irish designer, JW Anderson was in Dublin's Hanover Quay this weekend to present his spring women's collection.
The event marked the launch of Opel’s new Adam car, for which he created a “print wrap”. “It’s nice to do something in your own country and I was given free reign to do what I wanted,” he said- speaking with The Irish Times. The collection featured frilled asymmetrical knits and a boldly printed wrapover top, which mirrored the graffiti print used on the car.
Anderson studied menswear at the London College of Fashion, graduating in 2005, before making his debut at London Fashion Week in September 2008. The acclaim which met his initial offerings led Anderson becoming one of the most successful new designers on the international fashion scene.
His collection for Topshop was the most successful ever for the chain and scooped the emerging talent Award at the British Fashion Awards in November. No doubt his star will continue to rise.
