Andrew Trimble, Tommy Bowe and Jamie Heaslip today launched a new alternate jersey for the Irish rugby team.
Puma and the IRFU have created a new alternate jersey which will be worth for the first time in the Guinness Series opener against South Africa at the Aviva Stadium on 10th November.
The black and green jersey marks a new departure from the traditional white and green alternate strip, and will be the first non-white alternate jersey to be worn by the Irish rugby team in a competitive match.
The jersey comprises of a high tech nylon/lycra four way stretch body material. The unique nature of the four way stretch material also allows the athlete to perform with unhindered movement.
The new jersey will be available from all good sports retailers from 1st November. The jersey will be sold in three versions- Match jersey €90 Replica jersey €66 and Replica kids €45.
