Irish makeup artist of the year awards

The Professional Beauty Show took place in the RDS last week, and held a competition to find Ireland's best makeup artist.

The show is one of the most widely anticipated events in the beauty calendar and it was teaming with people from the industry.

Top prize went to Stacey Kilpatrick for her Japanese Geisha makeup look.

Second place went to Teresa McMenamy for a scary zombie creation, while third place went to Ramona Burns, for a dramatic, gothic tinged look.

Marijanna Martina was named the Makeup Student of The Year 2012 for a masked look complete with feathers.

Second place went to Martha Albin-Kolasinska, who created a bride of Frankenstein.

Katie Mulcahy came third place for a vintage-inspired look with strong brows.
