Review: Image Skincare Ormedic Facial at Renaissance

Has your skin got the holiday blues?

There's nothing worse than getting back from holidays and feeling rejuvenated and refreshed, but your skin tells a different story. Following a recent ten day stint in the south of France, my face seemed to have had a break (out) of its own. Too much sun, sleeping with my make-up on, bad diet, lack of sleep and the odd jug of Sangria here and there, turned my face into a complete shambles.

I felt like a 16-year-old girl all over again. I had a severe and very noticeable outbreak of little under-the-skin red bumps on both of my cheeks, while my nose and chin displayed severe congestion.

I tried everything from drinking gallons of water a day to completely changing my diet and upping my cleansing routine. I even changed my pillow cases and wiped my phone down on a regular basis. But sadly nothing seemed to help my acne-looking skin.

A friend recommended that I visit Renaissance Laser and Skin Clinic in Howth as they had heard rave reviews about the salon. As I was in a bad way, I decided something had to be done. I was desperately in need of some help!

Thankfully the lovely therapist that was treating me (big up to Kristina the legend) was a fountain of knowledge. She straight away could see that my skin was neglected and dehydrated.

However, instead of lecturing me on how I had mistreated my skin, Kristina came up with solutions to best fix my problem. She recommended that I get an IMAGE SKINCARE Ormedic Facial with an extraction, to unclog pores and to really get blackheads and dirt out.

Integrating potent anti-oxidants minus any chemicals, acids or parabens, I seemed like the perfect candidate for the Ormedic facial. However, the facial is directed to clients that suffer from a range of issues such as normal, dry/dehydrated, dull/tired, pregnant, menopausal, unbalanced, smoker’s complexion.

This innovative facial combines organic ingredients and even the most sensitive of skin types will benefit from its soothing, yet highly effective blend of essential oils, botanical extracts and medical grade peptides to deliver the maximum restoration to tired, dull and lacklustre skin.

Every last detail about the IMAGE SKINCARE Ormedic Facial Treatment :
1. Skin is cleansed with Ormedic Balancing Facial Cleanser for 1-2 minutes and removed.
2. Vital C Hydrating Enzyme Masque is applied and massaged onto skin for 1-2 minutes. Left on skin for 5-10 minutes and removed.
3. Ormedic Balancing Gel Masque is applied combined with an anti-oxidant enhancer to the skin, left for 10 minutes and removed.
4. Hyaluronic Facial Enhancer is massaged into skin followed by Balancing Antioxidant Serum.
5. Ormedic Balancing Bio-Peptide Créme is applied and massaged, followed by a generous amount of Prevention+ Tinted Moisturiser spf 30 for extra healing and hydration.
6. Ormedic Balancing Eye Lift Gel is applied to entire orbital area and the Balancing Lip Enhancement Complex to lip area

When the facial was over (it lasted about 50mins), I could see instant results. My face looked brighter and fresher. Within a week, the random clusters of red bumps had completely calmed down. At present, they are almost completely gone! There was also a massive reduction in the amount of open pores and blackheads on my face.

At €90 a pop, the Ormedical facial may sound pricey, but it actually fares out marginally cheaper than microdermabrasion (and proves to be better than it).

I have already booked in to get another treatment done in Renaissance Laser and Skin Clinic next week. This time I'm mixing things up a bit and going for a peel and extraction. I'll be sure to keep all of you beauty buffs updated with how I get on.
