New Clarins foundation and concealer

Clarins new Extra Comfort Foundation promises to plump, hydrate and nourish, while delivering radiant coverage. But does it deliver?

In a word, yes.

This thick and creamy foundation is not the best match for my normal/combination skin, but I have still found it excellent for providing natural looking coverage, while leaving skin feeling comfortable throughout the day. It's more suited for those with dry skin types, who I'd imagine would drink in it's nourishing ways.

The product is housed in a heavy glass jar that makes it prime dressing table fodder, but you could decant this into a smaller transportable tub for top-ups if you wanted.

The secret ingredient behind this skin-loving foundation is organic argan oil, which is rich in omega-9 to protect from dehydration and omega-6 to preserve suppleness.

There's also a 'Global Age-Defying Complex' in the mix - a combination of antsemby plant extract and tripeptide, a anti-ageing ingredient, to firm the skin.

There are nine shades available from Ivory to Cappuccino to suit a range of skin tones.

To compliment the new foundation release there's also an excellent new Instant Concealer (€24), which I have become totally addicted to. It's been formulated in three different shades to suit fair, medium and dark skin tones.

You only need a tiny dab of this creamy concealer, which is housed in an easy-to-use tube, to cover up dark circles with ease.

Although it has excellent coverage, it never looks cakey on my skin, and it doesn't settle into fine lines, which never looks pretty.

This is an instant favourite, bravo Clarins!
