MAC Makeover
MAC were kind enough to give me a dramatic makeup look for the 2013 IFTAs red carpet.
I was wearing a navy silk Gestuz dress with a white Kooples crop top worn over it, so I decided to go for a smokey eye with a navy twist to compliment the look.
The fantastic MAC makeup artist Lisa, who works at the store's standalone Henry Street location, was tasked with giving my under slept face a much-needed makeover.
She began by moisturising my skin, and used a combination of Studio Fix Fluid and Tinted Moisturiser to give the perfect amount of coverage. She used the product sparingly, giving me a lesson in 'less-is-more' when it comes to makeup base, so it looked perfectly natural.
A combination of eye pencils and shadows was used to create the dramatic smokey eye, and Lisa gave me a handy tip of using a neutral, tobacco-shaded brown to blend the outer lines of a smokey eye into just below my brow bone, to avoid any harsh lines and make the whole look come together.
False lashes and a few layers of mascara added the perfect amount of drama.
Lisa finished off the look with MAC's Cremeblend Blush in a flattering pink shade, while a blend of coral lipsticks created a peachy glossy lip.
