Pippa Middleton's short-lived stint as a model has been revealed.

The 27-year-old sister of the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton took part in a fashion show while studying at Edinburgh University in 2004.

She took to the catwalk wearing top designers Vivienne Westwood and Jean-Paul Gaultier.

The charity event, which was hosted by Channel 4 presenter Jon Snow, helped raise £22,000 for a cancer care centre at Scotland's Western General Hospital, the Edinburgh Evening News reports.

A fellow model told the Daily Mail: "Pippa was a very pretty girl with a phenomenally trim, sporty figure. She looked great - and she knew it."

Two years earlier, her sister also appeared in a university fashion show, wearing a now-famous transparent dress which was said to have caught the eye of Prince William.
