This soup, taken regularly over a period when a cold or flu is threatening, should arm your body with the best defense possible - it has it all. It has it all: vitamin C, beta-carotene and many flavonoids to reduce aches and pains and inflammation; onions and plenty of garlic from the allium family - known for their medicinal anti-bacterial qualities - and, of course, ginger. It's so delicious, you could serve it at a dinner party.
This is what I call a lemon or ginger zinger! With the vitamin C and bioflavonoids of the lemon, the ginger that increases circulation and boosts nutrient transport around the body and the beta-carotene of the carrots, this juice is powerful stuff for enhancing the immune system. And great to kick out a cold that has already got a hold.
