Charges- Private Use of RTÉ Libraries and Archives Material
Please note that charges quoted below are for home use - corporate use charges are subject to negotiation.
RTÉ Television Archive Material
Minimum charge, payable in advance- € 65.00 (excluding VAT)
- Segments up to 15 minutes - charge on request
- Programmes up to 60 minutes - charge on request
- Programmes up to 120 minutes - charge on request
- Research fee (per hour or part thereof) - €65.00 (excluding VAT)
Please note limit on order of TV archive material for private use:
- Maximum of six clips per order
- Maximum of one hour duration per order
- Additional clips by negotiation
Please note, due to considerable demands on the RTÉ Television Archives service, it is not always possible to supply copies for private use.
RTÉ Radio Archive Material
Minimum charge, payable in advance- € 30.00 (excluding VAT)
- Individual programmes up to 60 minutes - €30.00
- Individual programmes up to 120 minutes - €60.00
- Research fee (per hour or part thereof) - €60.00
- All charges quoted are exclusive of VAT
RTÉ Stills Library Photographic Images
- Research by RTÉ Stills Library staff incurs a €60.00 charge per hour or part thereof. The research fee applies even if the archive material is not used.
- A €20.00 per item charge is levied on photographic prints (30 x 22cm) and €10.00 on (22.5 x 15.5cm) photographic prints.
- Reference quality laser print-outs: B&W €1.00; Colour €2.00.
- A €6.50 per item charge is levied for burning images to CD.
- An ISDN fee of €70.00 for 3 images (includes first hour research charge) and €6.50 per image thereafter.
- For use of premium material i.e. Cashman, Johnson, Murtagh and Shard a 20% surcharge applies.
- All charges quoted are exclusive of VAT.

Payment must be made in advance of supply of CDs, DVDs, VHS or audiocassettes containing archive material.
Payment may be made by cheque or credit card only.
Research services in excess of one hour will be charged in advance.
Charges are reviewed annually and may be changed at the discretion of the RTÉ Libraries and Archives.
This Price Guide does not cover all eventualities.
