Charges- Academic Research

RTÉ Television Library & RTÉ Radio Library

• Mediated research including print-outs of results - €63 one-hour block of research
• Research by Student - €25 per hour (minimum charge)
• Student Day Rate for research, viewing and VHS/audio-cassette copying- €65 day rate (supply own VHS tapes)
• Student half–day rate- €35 half-day (as above)
• VHS/audio-cassette copies of programmes/extracts- €25 per hour (of staff time involved)

RTÉ Stills Library

• Mediated research - €60 one-hour block of research (preliminary search to confirm availability is free- to a maximum of 1 hour)
• One day access to Stills Library- minimum charge €60 (mediated research is preferred)
• Reference quality laser printouts will be supplied at €2 per copy for colour and €1 per copy for black-and-white

Please note:

• All above resources are subject to time and material limit as may be determined by RTÉ Libraries and Archives.
• The archive may review these rates from time to time.
• Students should supply own VHS/audio-cassette tape for copying under the day-access rates.
• Where access is required on site, the student must give a reasonable estimate of the time envisaged.
• Payment for any of the above will be required in advance either by cheque or credit card.
• For RTÉ Television or Radio archive material only, a minimum charge of €25 in advance will apply for any initial research or copying on behalf of a student.
