Get Active with Larry Gogan

Sunday 2 August 09

Kellogg’s and RTĒ 2fm’s Larry Gogan broadcast live to the nation from the Navan Summerfest last Sunday, 2nd August from 2:00 - 5:00pm. Festival organisers were the lucky winners of a free, live, nationwide broadcast for their community event thanks to RTĒ 2fm and Kellogg’s Let’s Get Active.

Hundreds of Meath families flocked to the Kennedy Civic Plaza on Sunday 2nd August between 11:00am and 9:00pm for the summer festival which included family fun activities such as a fishing competition, teddy bear’s picnic, river raft race, dog show and live music.

Some suggestions to get you started!

Your event could be a mini Olympics complete with an egg and spoon race tug of war and ‘wheelbarrow’ race, or it could be a local football league, a mini-marathon or mini-triathlon.

The only stipulations are that the event is community based, it gets people active and takes place this August.
