Meet the Judges


Dubliner PJ Gallagher has become one of Ireland’s best-loved comedians. Following the huge success of his role as Jake Stevens and many others in the hilarious and sometimes outrageous hit TV show Naked Camera, PJ has become a Vicar Street regular. He has appeared at the Cat Laughs festival in Kilkenny and at Electric Picnic amongst others. He is also a graduate of the Gaiety School of Acting.


Actor and Comedian Patrick McDonnell hails from Co. Louth. He first burst onto our screens when he played the unforgettable Father Eoin McLove in Father Ted. Since then he has gone on to star in the Naked Camera and more recently in both series of the hit show The Savage Eye. He also regularly performs his hilarious stand-up routines to sold-out crowds around the country.


Anne Gildea is a Dublin based writer and performer. She co-founded the hugely successful singing comedy trio The Nualas, touring all over Ireland, the UK, US and Europe. She played human side-kick to puppet stars Podge & Rodge in their Vicar Street run and Live at The Marquee Cork in 2007. Her weekly column with The Irish Mail on Sunday carries the by-line 'wickedly funny take on modern Ireland.'


Mayo born Panti first made a name for herself in Tokyo before returning to Dublin in the mid nineties where she quickly established herself as a fixture on the club scene as a performer, hostess and promotor. She has produced and hosted the annual Alternative Miss Ireland pageant since 1996 and has written and starred in three critically acclaimed hit one-woman shows (In These Shoes, All Dolled Up, A Woman In Progress).
