Style Trial: Stella McCartney
Stella McCartney’s outfit here is a lesson in understated elegance. The designer usually goes for quite a masculine, pared down look with killer accessories for that extra edge.
Here, she wears skin-tight, dip-dye jeans of her own design which I’ve seen on Victoria Beckham and model Lily Cole, but she wears them best herself.
I love the way she has slightly tucked the plain white t-shirt into the jeans, while tidying up the whole look with a gorgeously tailored black jacket. Having serious envy pangs here over the jacket, it’s a go-with-anything number that’ll never go out of style.
To pull the look together, she goes for a white bag with a black trim (again of her own design) and a bling pair of metallic heels.
As is typical of the designer, her hair is pulled back into a ponytail, and her make-up is barely there – just giving her a fresh, youthful look.
Effortless and wonderfully chic.
