Rihanna has been taking a high fashion approach to dressing of late, with a barrage of statement shoulders and mega heels to rival the most fashion forward of people.
I’m not sure if her new look always works, for example the Dolce and Gabbana trouser suit she wore to the Met Costume Institute Gala looked more Mickey Mouse than anything else.
So what do we make of her denim-tastic look here? She’s put a nice pinstripe shirt with a pair of similarly coloured cropped jeans and topped it off with black boots with sequin stars detailing.
Personally, I’m loving the shirt and the casual way it’s worn – collar slightly raised at the back, sleeves pushed up and tied in a low knot at the front.
It’s the jeans I take umbrage with – they’re unflattering, badly cut and I don’t think it’s a good idea to put boots with cropped jeans as a rule.
The thick gold jewellery and glasses are really cool though, it’s a shame the bottom part of the outfit wasn’t altered slightly!
