Style Trial: Olivia Wilde
It’s been a pretty quiet week on the celebrity fashion front, but by far my favourite style choice has to be Olivia Wilde’s outfit for the People’s Choice Awards in LA.
The actress oozed old fashioned glamour in this one-shouldered, frothy frock, and the Sergio Rossi peep toe heels brought the outfit bang up to date.
I love the delicate beading on the shoulder, the thick black belt to add waist definition, and the sophisticated length of the dress. The colour and materials used in the dress are fabulous – a white base is enhanced with dove grey stripes and wispy tulle layers.
She plays down the accessories, with just a pair of simple earrings, a diamond bracelet and boxy clutch to finish off the look.
Make-up is a lesson in understatement; she’s gone for classic red lips, a sweep of brown shadow on the lids and a hint of rosy blush.
