Style Trial: Marion Cotillard

I’ve always been a huge fan of Marion Cotillard’s style, but this takes my adoration to another level!

The French actress wore this Christian Dior gown to the Cesar French Film Awards, and it makes me anticipate her Oscars dress choice even more.

It’s hard to imagine anything that would come close to beating this creation in the glamour stakes though. This jewelled, cream dress hangs perfectly, and is cut in a beautiful 30s silhouette.

The bodice has sheer panels at the shoulders, a flattering bustier detail and is beautifully embellished with embroidery and jewels which become denser close to the waist.

Accessories are kept to a minimum with a long necklace which mirrors the embellishment on the dress, and a silver ring.

She was the picture of elegance with a chic updo with plenty of volume at the roots, which let the dress do all the talking. Make-up was kept to a similarly low-key affair; she went for subtly copper shaded eyes with a nude lip and peachy cheek.

Has to be one of my favourite red carpet outings of all time!
