Style Trial: Kristen Stewart

You get the impression that Kristen Stewart is a bit of a tom-boy, much like the character of Bella who she plays in the ‘Twilight’ films. It therefore is often disconcerting to see her dressed up to the nines on the red carpet in the latest hot designer’s offerings.

Here she took to the red carpet in London for the premiere of ‘New Moon’ in a Proenza Schouler dress for spring 2010. I’m not a fan of this look at all on her, and I get the feeling if she wore her own clothes, rather than designer borrowings, she’d look much better and more comfortable.

Asides from the fact that the dress is a pretty horrible combination of baggy blue and black striped top with a tweed effect skirt; the shoes are much too grown up for her. Black patent courts are best saved for the office rather than premieres!

I’ve seen her don a pair of Converse high-tops for photo ops, and looking about a million times more at ease.

What do you make of Kristen’s style?

Her style is not what i go for, i'd be more along the style of cheryl cole. But if it what she feels comfortable in the good on her!

She's gorgeous! It doesn't matter what she wears, she is my absolute favourite actress ever! She doesn't care about Hollywood glamour anyway's. She can dress like the girl next door and still beat out all the other 'glamour' queens.

I love her style. Look at all the tribute sites to her on Youtube etc. and you will see what great taste she has. Most people think of her as the girl from Twilight, but I have seen all her movies from 'speak' to the cake eaters and Adventureland etc. This girl rocks in every way.

Kristen is the coolest chick ever. This outfit shows her girly side. I want to marry her! She is so incredible!

Ick - that's horrendous; it really is one of the worst dresses I've ever seen, nobody would be able to wear it and look glamourous. Her dress at the premiere of the first Twilight movie wasn't much better either.

Having seen her in Vanity Fair and Tatler where she looks sophisticated, elegant and comfortable I must agree this ensemble is trying too hard to be funky and youthful. Put her in floor length black and she would be amazing
