Style Trial: Drew Barrymore

I’m a huge fan of Drew Barrymore. The girl looks good in anything – whether she’s relaxing in jeans and Converse high-tops or going for out-and-out glamour on the red carpet.

I thought her dress for the Golden Globes far outshone the other choices of the night – which were fairly disappointing in my opinion. Here’s hoping they’re saving their A-game for the Oscars!

A lot of people went for the nude look for the awards – but I think Drew’s is the one that looks best. This Atelier Versace frock was a beauty – scattered with crystals and featuring a dramatic shoulder and waist detail to make it really stand out.

She paired the gown with a Roger Vivier gold clutch and gorgeous oversized cocktail ring.

To compliment the very feminine dress, her make-up was glowing and natural. Her complexion is dewy with a hint of peach blush, while eyes are shimmery and iridescent with a subtle hint of bronze shading. Lips were a classic rose-red to bring a bit of colour to her face. To keep the attention on the dress, and not detract from the shoulder detailing, her hair was pulled into a classic chignon.
