The beautiful Christina Hendricks makes red-carpet choices that you would imagine her screen counterpart, Mad Men’s Joan Holloway, would make.
Staying true to her siren image she donned a red-hot Carolina Herrerra gown at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
The previous week she attended the Golden Globe awards in a peach, ruffled dress that received mixed reports from the fashion critics, but this was much more admired.
Take a look at our gallery of Golden Globe hits and misses.
Although I liked her Golden Globes frock, I do agree that this was a much better choice for the star. The vivid, asymmetrical dress suited her hourglass figure perfectly, and the giant bow on one shoulder added a bit of quirkiness to the classic style. I love the oversized earrings, stack of bangles and simple clutch to finish off the look.
Her make-up is more modern than we’re used to seeing her wearing – and I think it looks fantastic. She concentrates on emphasising her eyes, which are darkly lined and accentuated with brown shadow. The rest of her makeup is simple - her complexion is pale with peach cheeks and lips are given a slick of gloss.
What do you make of her sartorial choice?
