Style Trial: Alexa Chung

Alexa Chung is a lot of people’s top style crush at the moment, and it’s easy to see why. The TV presenter and model has an individual, widely emulated look that combines boyishness and preppyness with a feminine edge.

Her fashion kudos skyrocketed this season, why Mulberry launched a bag named after and inspired by her, the ‘Alexa’. This covetable piece of army candy has a lengthy waiting list, but there are sure to be high street imitations abounding soon.

Here, Chung is pictured at Philip Lim’s catwalk show at New York Fashion Week, and she displays just why so many people admire her style. Whether she’s wearing a Chanel dress, or vintage t-shirt and jeans, she always has the same laidback, and yet elegant, appearance.

This is a typically comfy looking ensemble - a baggy, print t-shirt is tucked into a high waisted skirt, with a woolly, granddad cardigan thrown over it. Black opaque tights and flat ballet pumps are warm, sensible choices, and her gorgeous, leopard print Mulberry bag takes centre stage.

As is usual for the star, her hair is undone and cool, make-up her signature black liner catflick and brown shadow.

What do you make of Alexa's style?
