Off the Rails Makeover: Sean & Marie's Story
The main reason that we decided to apply for the makeover was the fact that we lost the weight, we felt that as we had lost the weight together it would be the perfect finale to our weight loss.
We were both stuck in a rut - I think that you get used to only being able to buy in certain shops and you know which shops are more generous in their sizing. If you get a top/jumper/t-shirt that fits in green - let’s buy it in the grey and red too! We both wanted to gain the confidence and the know-how to go into any shop you want.

The Golden Globe Awards 2011
Neutral and pink shades ruled the red carpet at yesterday’s Golden Globe Awards, with feminine, ruffled designs in abundance. However pretty some of the frocks were, I couldn’t help being a bit disappointed by the often very safe choices.
For one, there was no standout gown among the lot – none that took your breath away or stood head and shoulders above the other choices.

The Model Scouts in Sydney
The Model Scouts were in Sydney this week for the next stage in the competition, and the reality of working in the fashion industry came into sharp focus for the girls.
The final six contestants were sent off on castings for Rosemount Fashion Week and were treated just like any other models looking for work. They weren’t given any special treatment for their lack of experience which was a big test for them as they don’t seem to view themselves as professional models yet!

The Model Scouts Episode 3
In this week’s episode of The Model Scouts, the girls headed off to London for the next stage of the competition. They have to learn the importance of casting – which will ensure their success in the business.
They had their first photoshoot to build up photos for their portfolio. I loved the pared-back aesthetic of the shoot and the urban setting – which complimented a few of the girls looks particularly well.

The Model Scouts Episode 2
Last night’s episode of The Model Scouts really gave us an insight into the final twelve contestants, and it cemented my opinion on a few of the girls while throwing up some surprises!
While we didn’t get a chance to see a proper makeover of the girls (a la America's Next Top Model with hair chopping and copious tears!) in their first photo shoot we saw what they would look like transformed with hair and makeup.

The Model Scouts Episode 1
New series ‘The Model Scouts’ kicked off with a bang last night on RTÉ 2. The show follows top international model scouts Jeni Rose and David Cunningham from IMG on their search for an Irish supermodel.
As there are no real top models from our fair isle, and they hadn’t scouted here before, Ireland was the perfect choice for setting the show. They were blown away by the quality of talent on display, not only at castings but out and about on the streets.
