The X Factor - Juicy News...

The single that 'The X Factor' winner will release has been announced and the guest performers have been leaked… well we think they have anyway.

The Single
JLS - lovin' the matching outfits!Word on the street (well, The X Factor website to be precise) is that the single due to be released by the eventual winner of the show is 'Hallelujah'. Interesting choice. Presumably they will all sing it on Saturday night to give us a taster. I can see it working for JLS, with some nice harmonies, and for Alexandra, with her powerful voice but I'm a bit afraid for little Eoghan. That said, the last time I said that he stepped up to the mark and proved me wrong so here's hoping.

The Guests
Beyoncé Knowles in the house! The is no official confirmation as to the identities of the final show guests this year but there have been whisperings and tabloid rumours… We've heard the name Beyoncé bandied about (despite the fact that Simon has been slagging her off of late). Seal's name has also been thrown into the mix, as has Duffy's. And here's the final bit of gossip – we hear that Boyzone have secured a spot on the show also and, according to sources in The Sun, Take That aren't happy and have pulled out of a scheduled appearance as a result. Do we think Take That would be that petty? No way. It's a huge stage. There's plenty of room for all of them we say!

Diana Speaks Out
Diana hits backAnd following a week of speculation Diana has spoken out, saying that there's nothing going on between herself and Eoghan. She says that they're just "really, really good friends" and that the reason that she has cooled her relationship with her boyfriend is that she's going to be based in London a lot from now on. So there we have it.

Ironically Dianas annoying voice would have suited the song ,ah well im sure we will hear it on one hit wonder record sure to be released in the new year. I osund really mean but she just irritates me so much. Jls can pull it off but not sure its Alexandras style

Thanks for the comment Laura. Yeah, I think you're right - the song would have really suited Diana's voice and she was saying this week that she was gutted that she wouldn't be getting the chance to perform it in the show but I'm sure the other three will try to put their own individual twists on it.

It really is a strange song choice for the winners song. With Diana having been an early front runner, the song must have been picked with her in mind.

yeah JLS Will be really good!i hope tey win.diana has an annoying voice but some of the songs that she has sung really suit her voice and some songs would realy suit her!i used to like eoghan but after his bawling on saturday he has gone down in my books!it's hard 2 lose a friend but he should be greatful!!alex is really good...but jls to win !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Diana actually sang that song in bootcamp, personally i think its a crap song. Like Leona's 'A moment like this' was brilliant why are they giving them such a rubbish song. JLS are too pop to sing it and it doesnt suit alexandras voice, not going to mention eoghan coz i dont want him to win!!! Alex or JLS to win, im happy with either

I have to Agree with laura . Diana was seriouisly annoying. Delighted when she was voted off . JLS did a great job last sat and now look like real contenders. The big question is who will win. Well i beliveve its a 2 Horse race between JLS and Alexandra, with Alexandra slightly infront. I would pay my hard earned money to see her live. JLS are good but i would find it difficult to part with the money in all honesty and thats the real way to judge this competetion

Take That were on the show already 2 weeks ago, why would they appear again anyway????

Totally have to disagree with Dave. Hallelujah is a classic song, listening to Jeff Buckley's version gives me goosebumps every time. Unfortunately, each and every finalist who all great performers in their own right, will MURDER the song. It needs to be sung by a man, with a gravelly voice, and needs to be heartfelt. How in gods name could Eoghan even contemplate singing that song, just think of the lyrics. They should have just picked some cheesy throw-away pop song like they did for leon last year instead of ruining that one. God forbid they ever thought about releasing an original track!!!!

I completely agree with Niall's post. From info on the x-factor site it seems that only the winner will actually sing the song, after the result is announced. So at leasts it's only 1 atrocious version instead of two we'll have to hear. anyway, i'm backing Eoghan!!

Thanks for that Tony, just read the latest posting about the single there on The X Factor site. I think it's very annoying that you don't get to hear all versions of the song before making a decision on who to back. In previous years it was good to hear the different takes on the same song. That's a shame.

Diana sang that song at bootcamp and she was good (you might not have remembered as her face was so orange she looked lik a different person!) I couldnt stand her, but think she did a good job on White Flag! Hallejuia is a brilliant song, but i can already see, a choir, & sparks flying down from the roof! so predicable!I dont know why they cant be original! I hope JLS win it. At least it would be something different & I tink Leona Lewis will always outshadow Alexandera, even tho Alex is brilliant too! Poor little Eoghan. Id imagine he'll be good at Hallejuia, he just wont make you go out and buy it. To be honest, i wouldnt pay to see Alex live, ive seen Beyonce, Christina, Rihanna & Leona Lewis all singin live & i dont think it would be any different.

Well I've heard that Rhianna is doing a duet with JLS, Boyzone doing one with Eoghan(GO EOGHAN!!) and Westlife(Huh?? Aren't they taking time off??) doing a duet with Alexandra!!!!

It seems that intitial media rumours were just that. The latest report on The X Factor special guests says Rihanna, Westlife & Boyzone. Read more in the Entertainment News section here: http://www.rte.ie/arts/2008/1211/thexfactor.html

Boyzone and Westlife? Hardly special guests are they? Louis just has to send a text to get them to do anything. It will be a travesty if Alex doesnt win, JLS will finish in second. Delighted The Claw is gone my TV is safe from various pieces of crockery!

So the final show is Jls singing with Rihanna,Eoghan and Boyzone(ha ha short strax!!) and Alex and Westlife(Boring!Go solo Mark Feehily!),so Jls will have the advantage.

Posted by Laura on December 11, 2008 at 02:43 PM GMT #

That's a big advantage for JLS if they have Rihanna. She's in London for some charity concert on thursday (that's if you can trust wikipedia). So there's a real chance it's goin happen. It's could definately be a bit of an uphill battle for Eoghan & Alex now!
