The X Factor - Fourth Live Show

Poor Rachel was gutted to leave. It always seems harsh when a really good singer leaves the competition early but I suppose that's the nature of a public vote. If the contestant connects with the audience hopefully they'll go the distance, if not (as in Rachel's case) then the writing is on the wall from the beginning. And, while I think Rachel has a spectacular voice, to be in the bottom two for a third time in four weeks says a lot. It was clearly never going to happen for her.

Lloyd needs to up his game. It's not that I thought Lloyd was a stronger singer (he isn't) but it was his first time in the bottom two and I genuinely think he's much better when he picks his own songs (maybe he could up his game a bit in the coming weeks). Glad Rachel pulled it back by thanking the judges before she left because for a few minutes (when she didn't hug poor Lloyd back) I thought she was going to be very ungracious in defeat (and after all, it wasn't his fault that she was heading home).

All bets are off
Leona - A star from the beginning!Around this stage of the competition every year it gets really difficult to predict who is going to go home each week. You'd like to think that the most talented singers will be guaranteed a place in the final but you know that that's just not a certainty. The show is about much more than someone's voice. It's about personality, popularity and presence (and sometimes it's just about how many youngsters want to vote for the little heartthrobs in the show!). But if there's a genuine 'superstar-in-the-making' (like Leona) then you'd like to think that it would be obvious from the start and that seems to be the problem with this year's show. There are lots of decent singers but nobody that really stands out as having potential to become a mega-star.

Lucie impressed again! For me, Olly, Joe and Lucie have been consistently impressive. They can sing, perform and are versatile with the genres of the show. Rachel never disappointed vocally any week but she just didn't seem to have the same level of connection with the audience in her performances. Stacey has an amazing voice but I fear that her performance ability is going to let her down. I think that her hilarious, bubbly personality has been winning her votes but Simon is right about her lack of stage movement – it's time to notch it up a gear in order to compete with the others.

John and Edward - hilarious, as usual!I used to love Jamie Afro at the beginning but (dare I say it for a second week) I'm beginning to agree with Louis. He's doing nothing to set himself apart and his performances have all been really similar, except for diva week when he proved that he's not just a rocker. He needs to do more of that, mix it up a bit. As for Danyl, well I'm afraid he's never going to win me over and that display of head-hanging and bawling this week did him no favours in my eyes. Either you want your place in the show or you don't. And again, I'm with Louis, the twins have had to deal with far worse press and they've just concentrated on their performances, tried to be enthusiastic and not looked for sympathy at every turn and that's to their credit I think. People seem to have responded to their efforts to impress.

That dress
What do you think of this dress?!We have to have a word for Cheryl's 'dress'. Ordinarily I love her styling but this week I thought that Saturday night's wardrobe choice was a mistake. As she said herself, it was a 'standing-up dress' not a 'sitting-down dress'! Fair play to her for taking the slagging about the dress and having a laugh about it though because it mustn't have been easy for her when that caller rang up The Xtra Factor and told her that the dress looked awful, to her face and in front of the other judges. I love how brave the callers are on that show. Fair play also to the woman who told Simon he was a useless mentor (I don't think that he is but how funny was his face? That must have taken guts!).

The special guests
Bon Jovi in the house!I've always loved Dermot as the presenter of the show (I think he's great with the contestants and feisty with the judges) but I found a new level of respect for him last night when he high-fived Richie Sambora in the name of a boyhood dream. Nice touch to ask Jon Bon Jovi for permission first too. I also loved JLS's performance on the show. I thought that they were great last year so I'm thrilled to see them having a successful career now. Can't wait to hear the album. I'm loving the first two singles. And the big question has to be: Will they knock Cheryl off the topspot?!

Comments:

What is the point in having a sing off when it doesn't matter who sings better! Simon always says he will judge it on that performance but what happened last night? I am not liking Dermot anymore, he has got way too big for his boots.

I agree Barry, Simon contradicted himself last night. I was SO annoyed Rachel went - she was clearly an amazing singer and I think she just needed more time to gel with the audience. She's only 18 for goodness sake. Simon said because of Lloyd's sore throat it would only be fair to send it to deadlock - that is ridiculous, he has been consistently rubbish over all the live shows. I think he's a very sweet kid but no way is he going to make it as a solo artist. He could be great in a boyband like Louis said. Speaking of Louis I am loving him this year, think he's bang on with all his comments. I don't know what's happened to Simon - I usually love him but he seems to be too pally with Cheryl or something this year. Olly was the best on Saturday, so good. Danyl will win everyone over, watch this space! I love him anyway... Bon Jovi and JLS were great too. Roll on next week!

Posted by S on November 02, 2009 at 11:12 AM GMT #

I think Simon did the right thing. She might have been a better singer, but the public don`t seem to like her. He couldn`t keep saving her all through the series. At the end of the day its all about making money from record sales and if you are not unpopular then your records won`t sell.

Posted by Maggie on November 02, 2009 at 11:21 AM GMT #

I agree - Simon always says that he will judge on the performance, but Simon finds it difficult to play Simon says. Olly was again, for the second week running, the best. I predict that Olly, Joe and Danyl will make it an all-male final, though Danyl's rather forced subduedness on Saturday was so false. As for Jamie, the supposed rocker...he sounded like an old man doing kareoke on Saturday. If he wanted to prove his rockness, he should have utilised rock week to sing something from muse...

Posted by Anthony McGrath on November 02, 2009 at 11:21 AM GMT #

Simon copped out big time last night. Lloyd is not a great singer, I agree with Linda in that he's good when he picks his own songs, but he would not be a successful recording artist. Rachel was one of the best Saturday night and Lloyd one of the worst. Jamie is one of my favourite acts but on rock week he should have been given a better song. He's a talented guy, give him some songs to show off his voice. I want Olly to win though. He might not be the best vocalist ever but he's a great entertainer and I reckon he deserves it more than the others. And does Stacey annoy anyone else? She's the most irritating person I ever heard. She's like two different people, composed and elegant while singing then a jibbering bimbo while not singing. It's actually pretty surreal! I know it's a singing competition and that's how the acts should be judged but that was just an observation!

Posted by Aaron on November 02, 2009 at 11:22 AM GMT #

The last two winners of the X-factor had been strong female vocalists and I think the public want something different this year which may explain why Rachel ended up in the bottom two three times. I think a male vocalist is going to win it this year.

Posted by Brian Havern on November 02, 2009 at 11:41 AM GMT #

im delighted rachel went .. bout time too !!

Posted by 127.0.0.1 on November 02, 2009 at 11:43 AM GMT #

Couldn't agree more Aaron, Stacey is such a pain, i can't understand why everyone likes her, she can sing but i wudn't say she's outstanding. I love Jamie, think he's cool, do agree he isn't been given great songs hopefully Simon will take note. Hope to see Olly or Jamie win the show!! I taught Danyl was really bad on saturday night he was out of tune for nearly the whole song. Is anyone else getting a bit sick of the judges, not impressed with Cheryl this year, last year she was so nice and sweet to the contestants but she seems to be trying to be to much like simon this year. The contestants are human after all and have feelings but the judges are to busy trying to score points with each other their dragging the contestants into it in order to do so!!

Posted by Carol on November 02, 2009 at 11:55 AM GMT #

loved jon bon jovi last nite now there is a group of rock gods bon jovi & richie :) loved rachels voice and she should have stayed, simon chickened out of sending lloyd home so as not to upset cheryl on a nite she got to number one! luv Danyl, Olle and Lucie

Posted by val on November 02, 2009 at 12:12 PM GMT #

Simon has proved yet again that the show is all about the judges and their egos (i.e. I still have 3 acts left while the rest of you don't!). Rachel was improving week on week, and even though it was her third time in the bottom 2, lets not forget that the week before she was not! Based on the second song, Rachel should have sailed through but Simon knew she could be a potential threat and got rid of her, he knew the voting results and based his decision on that (I don't beleive in all the "No one knows" nonsense!). Every week he has mentioned how bad Lloyd is yet last night he couldn't make up his mind. The show has descended beyond the point of a joke!

Posted by Marcus on November 02, 2009 at 12:33 PM GMT #

Simple as this; Lloyd can not sing his voice is flat! Rachel was amazibg did not deserve to go and for Jedward do not get me started on those 2!! And Simon Cowell is a big coward who wont upset Cheryl!!!

Posted by Emma on November 02, 2009 at 12:38 PM GMT #

Olly will walk to the final and win it. He is the only contestant to make each song and performance his own. He is versatile and extremely likeable. Im sick of Danyl! For the love of god he needs to take the criticism and turn it into a positive ala the Twins.

Posted by Paul on November 02, 2009 at 12:39 PM GMT #

Defo Olly to win, id be sickened if anyone else went on to win it! I like lucie and joe too, after that the rest are nothin special. I agree bout stacey, she does my head in! Dont like danyl, the show seems to be all about him and its gettin tiring. Jamie is nothin more than a pub singer, totally agree with louis on him. The twins have to go, seriously, who is voting them in? Danni is my fav judge this year, shes the only one who talks any sense really....

Posted by 192.168.24.17 on November 02, 2009 at 01:04 PM GMT #

Ok so, Rachel DID NOT deserve to go, I think she would have connected eventually, Lloyd will not win, she may have...we know from other years that people turn it around all the time, now she won't have a chance, really unfair!!! Danyl, get over urself, ur so annoying, we all know how to fake it, its like ur tryin to manipulate us and eh not working, just be real - you have a great voice but you do the same performance over and over again, if i see you 'pause' and throw your mic from one hand to the other one more time them i might actually throw something at the telly!!! Love staceys voice, like totally love her version of songs, shame shes not a bit cooler... Olly, u r sex on legs, go go go .. Jamie, go away dad... Lucie, get tough, Joe you little angel ur amazing... Simon, we can see through you and u have a position of power and are abusing it, you shouldnt be allowed be a mentor - Rachel deserved to stay, its not rocket science!!!

Posted by Elaine on November 02, 2009 at 01:11 PM GMT #

What a big baby Danyl was on sat nite his whole subdued attitude was PATHETIC, he needs a good kick up the behind, hope he doesn't make it much further I cannot look at him much longer - soooooooooo annoying. Dunno what it is about Lucie but I'm not a fan, I think she's a good enough singer - although did not like her version of sweet child o mine - and she looks great but i really wouldn't mind if she was voted out - anyone agree? Thought Rachel was fab with the Oasis song it was excellent and think she should have been kept in but I can see why Simon did what he did and I'm sure nice and all as he is Lloyd won't stay too much longer. What about Cheryl's dress, terrible. Did anyone watch Dannii's interview with Piers Morgan? She came across really well and more likeable than I thought!

Posted by sa on November 02, 2009 at 01:14 PM GMT #

100% Olly will win cause he is by far the best, he has it all going on...voice, dancing, personality and of course looks. Stacie is so irratating and its draining listening to her. As for Rachel delighted she is gone and I think ye she was better in the sing off but she didnt gel at all and its been 4 weeks and if you don't do it by week 3 well then that's it... I think Simon was right not to save her cause seriously how long would that go on for, if he did save her she would of gone next week anyway. And ye all the judges are full of it especially Simon (with his i've 3 acts and you lot don't) but seriously people he has always been like that and we all know it and that's why we like him. If this was his last year doing it... no one tell me you wouldnt miss him.... cause to me the X factor wouldnt be the same without him. Ye Daniel is very annoying and his article today about how he is not bothered about being in the bottom 2 and can still win it will do him no favours... everyone loves the boy next door and that is Olly..... so team Olly and team Simon for me...

Posted by ashling on November 02, 2009 at 02:05 PM GMT #

Brian, Just on a point of fact. The last two winners were, Alexandra and Leon. Leona was the show before Leon.

Posted by Marie O'C on November 02, 2009 at 02:16 PM GMT #

can't understand why everyone likes Joe so much! he's like a wet fish, borinnnnnnnng!

Posted by CoCo on November 02, 2009 at 02:19 PM GMT #

Simon has never been proved wrong as of yet and he will continue to show honesty and not give the contestants lip service unlike the women judges who are afraid to upset people

Posted by X Factor Fan on November 02, 2009 at 02:32 PM GMT #

the week before cheryl was way worse whe she let it go to deadlock between miss frank and danyl. he's a million times better, she's way more of a coward than simon!

Posted by 192.168.24.17 on November 02, 2009 at 02:35 PM GMT #

At the moment Olly and Joe look like the favourites but lets not forget Danyl and Jamie were looking hot favourites a few weeks ago, so things can change. Cheryl needs to realise the show is not all about her career and dress choice, if she spent less time thinking about that and put more thought into Lloyd's song choice then he wouldn't look so average each week.

Posted by Dane Tyghe on November 02, 2009 at 03:05 PM GMT #

Rachel goin was defo the best choice to go..that was an awful version of a brilliant song!!I do think that Simon did the right thing to go to public vote.Lloyd clearly cudnt sing wit a bad throat so it wudnt have been fair to kick him out do we all remember diana vickers wit her sore throat last year!??! I think the fairest thing was to bring it back to the public because in the end its the public who are going to be buying the music not the judges. I defo want Olly to win...what a man!! I do love the twins...i know its controversial but hey they are funny and entertaining...i know plenty of people who are only watchin because of them so fair play!! Cannot stand Jamie Afro ugh!! They say Danyl is cocky hello are the judges watchin the same show as I am...Danyl is an amazing singer and deserves to be confident Jamie on the other hand is getting far too big for his boots...i totally agree with Louis he is no better than a very good pub singer!! JEDward or Olly to win!! :)

Posted by Sinead on November 02, 2009 at 03:24 PM GMT #

When Jedward go I go. Simple as that. They are the show.

Posted by Shep on November 02, 2009 at 03:46 PM GMT #

Sinead I agree with everything you said except that the difference between Diana last year and Lloyd this year with the sore throat thing is that Diana could actually sing.

Posted by s on November 02, 2009 at 03:54 PM GMT #

Well said Shep, Jedward are bigger than the X-Factor!

Posted by A on November 02, 2009 at 04:21 PM GMT #

Jedward or Olly to win!!!Jedward make the xfactor fun to watch!!! Olly is just pure talent! Stacey I like you at first but your silly faces and lack of brains are seriously starting to get on my nerves! Danyl maybe try acting if the sining career fails, cause Sat night was one big act a sympathy attempt! Joe Keep smiling your like a little puppy dog! Lucy is as dull as dishwater! Linda glad to see your on the blog this week!!

Posted by 127.0.0.1 on November 02, 2009 at 05:22 PM GMT #

I think cheryl has a really nice dress because she has the figar for it. It really suits her. I like other cloths that she wears to that it makes me want them!

Posted by cheryl fan on November 02, 2009 at 05:51 PM GMT #

Danyl needs to cop himself on. This attitude of "woe is me" is not doing him any favours. He should have just accepted he was in the bottom 2 and got on with it, instead of crying like a spoiled child. My god he really iritates me. It was the right choice for Rachel to go even though I'm not a fan of Lloyd. 3 strikes and your out. The only act to actually really rock it out was Jedward. Great song choice. Jamie was a disappointment, was expecting more from him.

Posted by ELAINE H on November 02, 2009 at 08:02 PM GMT #

why is everyone so mean to Danyl? do people think he's that stupid to really say the stuff reported in the 'people' - seems to be a hate campaign not helped by Cheryl's obvious dislike of him - he is most talented on the show! Also to say he's fake - well what was that 'OMG' rubbish that Rachel came out with last week to 'connect' with teh audience - no-one seems to have slagged that off! Lloyd is a rubbish singer & should have gone before - why do they keep being so nice to him? Fed up with the judges not making a decision - what's the point of having them? Ollie - he sounds like Will Young - think he'll go all the way Danni's hair looks fantastic

Posted by sarah on November 02, 2009 at 08:37 PM GMT #

The whole show peaked when Leona won back in 2006. The only thing that keeps me tuning in this year is Jedward as they are 100% entertaining unlike the rest of the contestants. I really hope Danyl goes soon as he over-performs each week and isn't actually as good as he think he is. JEDWARD TO WIN!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by Sarah on November 03, 2009 at 12:18 AM GMT #

I think there's definitely something going on with Simon and Cheryl and that's why Simon wouldn't save Rachel this week. She was definitely the best singer by far! Simon really annoying me this series.

Posted by 127.0.0.1 on November 03, 2009 at 10:30 AM GMT #

I think Danni looks great this year. Cheryl is trying to outdo her with those ridiculous outfits but it's not working. They are trying to turn it into the Simon and Cheryl show and it's getting boring!

Posted by 127.0.0.1 on November 03, 2009 at 10:33 AM GMT #

this is a singing compition not britin's got tallent so john and edward should get booted out they haven't even got tallent. has anybody else noticed the sexual tension between Simon and Cheryl this year

Posted by mary deegan on November 03, 2009 at 11:22 AM GMT #

did nobody notice that Danyl forgot the words to the song on Sat nite more then once?? if that had been any other contestant, Simon would have destroyed them like he has done in the past!Hope Danyl goes soon cuz Im sick having to look into that mouth of his and see his big tounge every week when he does his big note!he is not as good as he thinks he is! Jedward are very entertaining but shouldnt win! Ollie all the way! he's been the only consistant one throughout!

Posted by 192.168.24.17 on November 03, 2009 at 01:02 PM GMT #

does anyone else think that lloyd actually sang and sounded better in the sing off than on Saturday night?

Posted by Patricia on November 03, 2009 at 01:15 PM GMT #

Agree with the comments about Simon & Cheryl. Those two are the most irritating this series, its usually Louis that drives me mental.

Posted by Paul on November 03, 2009 at 01:20 PM GMT #

I am glad Rachel went this week. She was not connecting and the reason why Simon let it go to the public vote was because he said to her "you've been in the bottom two, three times, something is not right here" the judges cant keep saving her if she's constantly in the bottom! If the public dont lik her, she wont sell records! Poor Lloyd!! he was not good..and Katy Perry??? seriously!! that was ridiculous, he should jus sing his own songs!! Jamie Afro needs to go, he's gona very cocky and seriously, all he does is sing the same songs all exactly the same, i said it once and ill say it again, i dont think this year has great talent. Olly has it i think and id be glad if he won!! Danyl...please, give me a break! i would actually pay to see him leave...his song was out of tune, he forgot the words and he was rubbish, he thinks he's great and all that head down, baby crying thing is jus making me hate him more...he depends on those last 2 notes in his songs way too much and frankly, I am a little tired of seeing his back teeth! This week was rubbish too, they wernt singing rock songs!! HOwever, on an upscale, Lucie did brilliant, i thought she was very good! i thought Olly and Joe were brill too! Roll on movie week!!

Posted by Enna on November 03, 2009 at 02:05 PM GMT #

I think Jamie definately proved that he is not a contender this week. With that cheesy old fashioned Rock song. I really thought he would come out and do something harder. To use Simons word he needed something to make him "relevant". He'll be gone soon if he doesn't pick better songs. Also I don't know what everyones problem with Danyl is (although I didn't like his sulking this week). Joe has a perfect voice, but it ends there for him I think! he is so not cool in any way. John & Edward will make the final 3 with Olly and Stacey.

Posted by Michelle on November 03, 2009 at 02:09 PM GMT #

I read that Danyl got most votes this week followed by Jeward and then Olly... all I can is WHAT?.... its a joke we cant vote.... to me you either have a fav or you don't. I find it hard to see how last week he is in the bottom 2 and then this week tops the poll.... is it a fix or are they leaking these false reports to get more media attention!! Either way it is a talent show so Jedward must go and if Olly dosnt win well then Shame on the people who are voting.. he is flawless everyweek and is yet to receive a bad comment..I don't mind Danyl but seriosly MAN UP and keep the mic in the one hand its getting boring at this stage!!

Posted by Ashling on November 03, 2009 at 02:55 PM GMT #

have u noticed that the only act to dance and sing the whole way through a performance is john and edward so i say they deserve to remain in the show.G0 john and edward.

Posted by rosemarysheridab on November 03, 2009 at 03:16 PM GMT #

I hope and think its a joe, olly, danyl final with olly winning. Most acts showed early promise in auditions but have failed to have the same success in the live shows. These 3 are the exceptions. This point is particulary true with regard to lloyd, jamie and stacey. All impressed in auditions but arnt really showcasing their talents on the live stage. Jamie needs another 'Sex on fire' song. In reality he is only surviving of that song. I was a big fan of him then but not anymore. I think llyod, jamie and lucie could be in touble this week.

Posted by Nis on November 03, 2009 at 04:32 PM GMT #

I am not a big John and Edward fan, but really if they were not in the show, it would be one big snooze-athon! Nobody with any real talent on this years X factor i am afraid. As for rock week - there was not much rock going on from any of them. The twins managed to liven it up with their "performance" Singers they are not but they know how to entertain. As for the cry bay Daniel, his days are numbered. His poor me attitude was embarrassing.

Posted by Kathleen Friel on November 03, 2009 at 05:27 PM GMT #

call me sceptical but i think alot of the rise and fall of danyl is totally managed. all of this 'woe is me' crap is planned and rehearsed. poor singing performance on saturday night just to show he is not infallible. i mean this in no disrespect to our neighbours across the water but they can be easily swayed i think. olly is gaining huge popularity and i think he may come out the victor. lloyd will probably not be in the bottom 2 next time as the whole female teenage force in the uk will be mobilise to vote. joes not connecting at all. hes being mentioned very little in the xtra factor and in people comments. i think he may be in trouble soon. jamie days are numbered also

Posted by mdf on November 03, 2009 at 06:41 PM GMT #

If there is any Justice Danyl should WIN, He has got a great voice & his a very good entertainer. Please people vote for him.

Posted by monique on November 03, 2009 at 06:49 PM GMT #

Love John and Edward they are really entertaining Danyl to go he gives me a pain just lookin at him

Posted by 192.168.24.17 on November 03, 2009 at 08:20 PM GMT #

lucie is so boring, and nobody talks about her at all. same style every week. does anybody agree with me, je to win, ireland,s got talent, new show for rte.. could be a great laugh..

Posted by val on November 03, 2009 at 10:34 PM GMT #

Olly to win. Jedward are funny i will admit, but i dont think id like 2 see them win the show. Maybe get to the final just to annoy simon. He's kinda buggin me this year and so is cheryl. Danni is the best judge, im lovin louis too this year. But defo olly is by far the best on it. Really dont like danyl or jamie, i didnt even see the big deals with their auditions.

Posted by Ruth on November 04, 2009 at 01:10 PM GMT #

Ok I agree with what most have said but come on Danyl is the cockiest fella I have ever seen. The poor me routine on Saturday was a joke. deal. If simon is showing favouritism to cheryl surely he would have saved Rikki Loney when he went up against Rachel. Olly with the shirt whoar. Olly or Joe to Win

Posted by TOL on November 04, 2009 at 06:43 PM GMT #

Cheryl is rubbish this year, I think someone was helping her last year because her choice of songs for her contestants are really poor. I think xfactor votes are fixed, Simon doesn't want another girl to win as it will mean they are just competing against leona and Alex. Danni is working the hardest I think, cheryl is too interested in her own solo career to mentor anyone else. Olly to win

Posted by JJ on November 05, 2009 at 10:17 AM GMT #

I agree with most comments about Simon. He is rubbish this year and he is abusing his power. He is far from being objective. He has been far too harsh on the girls contestants. Jamie has got a great personnality and is a decent singer but not good enough to win the competition. Danyl is quite annoying and boring to watch. LLoyd is sweet and quite a good performer but not a good singer. Rachel I think was the best singer but made a bit of a fool of herself when she copied Stracey but was well punished for it. Yes they want a man to win this year. Lucy & Jo are very decent singers and deserves to still be there. A lot of great singers. Jo & ed are entertaining but should have entered British's talent. Stracey & Danyl are annoying to watch. They are not bad singers but there is something missing. I loved Rachel and she will make it one day in the big world. She remind me of Jennifer houston. She will eventually develop a strong personnality. My second favourite will have to be Ollie then Lucie. If they go I won't care anymore.

Posted by sylvie coulson on November 06, 2009 at 12:34 AM GMT #

Oh dear - now The Cheeky Girls are saying Jedward are rubbish. I fear this might cause a decline in the level of admiration for The Cheeky Girls - if such a thing is possible, ha ha.

Posted by Deirdre on November 06, 2009 at 11:30 AM GMT #

I CAN'T BELIEVE JAMIE IS STILL IN THE COMPETITION. I REALLY LIKED HIM AT THE START NOW HE IS JUST BORING AND PREDICTABLE. AS FOR HIM SINGING A U2 SONG ON BIG BAND WEEK!!! I AGREE WITH LOUIS. REALLY WANT OLLY TO WIN. HE'S SEXY, GREAT PERSONALITY AND LOTS OF CHRISMA, GREAT SINGER AND ENTERTAINER....HE'S GOT IT ALL!!DID I MENTION I LUV OLLY!!!

Posted by RACHEL on November 06, 2009 at 02:16 PM GMT #

I think Olly is the most entertaining every week. John and Edward HAVE to go! They were ok for a laugh for the first few weeks but i'm over it now. They are uncoordinated and untalented. I like Stacy but ya wonder if it's all an act eh? I agree that Joe is a wet fish but his voice is nice, though a bit warbly.

Posted by SA on November 06, 2009 at 05:29 PM GMT #

X factor is a fix and wont be watching again

Posted by gary behan on November 08, 2009 at 08:58 PM GMT #

I'm done with the X Factor now, after watching and voting from it's inception. I'm so tired of hearing the judges bleat on about this being a 'singing competition', then watching Mr Cowell in particular, blatantly manipulating the situation to suit his own agenda. Clearly one of the most talented contestants has been ditched in order to perpetuate this agenda tonight and it has become rather vulgar and ridiculous now. Don't get me wrong here- I realise that it was never the most credible production but at least we could expect the talented ones to emerge triumphant in the end and it never failed to entertain.. even squeezing votes out of the most die-hard scrooges. Sadly I feel that it is now beyond redemption and I shall look for alternative weekend viewing in future... Songs of Praise anyone?!

I'm done too!! Everyone knows that although Jedward are entertaining to watch, they cannot sing. This is a singing competition - and Simon Cowell didn't send them home - fix! I was already wavering when you think of the several auditions people go through before they get on the tv and they put the bad ones through (good TV, I know) but all the same not very reality TV!! I'll be watching Casulty next week!

Why didnt Simon vote off the Twins??? He has slated them on a number of occasions and when it came to voting for a talented singer (more talented than the twins, Llyod and possibly Jamie) he bottled it. Lets be honest the twins are going to be famous either way now, so give Lucie a chance. Its not a talent show anymore, its a farce. Simon is looking at his wallet here i am afraid and the longer the twins stay there the bigger his wallet will get. I feel sorry for Lucie, she seems like a nice girl with a good talent. The Twins are a bit embarrassing and very irratating.
