I'm A Celebrity - Welcome To The Jungle

So I think last week when I decided in my wisdom that we needed an ‘I’m A Celebrity’ blog this year that I created a world of pain for myself for the next few weeks. It’s fair to say that while last night’s show was watchable it was far from scintillating stuff and I wonder if these guys are going to provide us with enough ammunition to blog each day! On the evidence of last night it could be a struggle.

One man and his caravanAnyhoo let’s start with a confession. I think George Hamilton is fairly fabulous! Day one and I, like Kim Woodburn, have fallen under the spell of the mahogany one! He seems to have made the transition from Hollywood C-lister (perhaps I am being a little generous here) to hanging out with a bunch of former soap stars and glamour girls with total ease. He has been a true gentleman so far and has resisted the urge to ask ‘and who the heck are you?’ Kim did not display such restraint when she said to Stuart, ‘Sorry love but who are you?’

George even treated the camp to a spot of musical theatre from his caravan on last night’s show. Kim seems to be playing ‘Mildred’ to George’s ahh ‘George’ actually and they mooch around camp like an old married couple. A few days in and George has already worked out how to keep her happy. ‘The trick with Kim is keep her occupied’ apparently. Let’s hope their honeymoon period lasts for the duration of the show. Kim certainly seems to have attracted the attention of the voting British public after she was selected to do the bushtucker trial last night. I reckon, on the evidence so far, that she will give it a good go.

Bring on the bugsApart from the entertainment provided by the more mature members of the group there was little else of note last night – a few people got soaked in a river, Jimmy White has been a bit heavy on the ‘Grecian 2000’ (ask your Dad if you don't know what that is), Lucy nearly died of fright jumping out of the plane and Sam Fox is scarily brave when it comes to putting creatures in her mouth.

Just a brief word about your hosts! Now I normally begin this blog with a rant about how much Ant and Dec annoy me but perhaps I am mellowing in my old age because they were okay last night. Mind you it is only day one.

Watching Katie Price’s VT last night I was confused. Apparently she is returning to the jungle because she is mad! I presume somebody has told her that Pete is staying at home!

YAY an IACGMOOH blog!! Love it!! Agree with Ruth! Gino is deadly!! and I tink Colin is funny too...!! Good on Sam Fox!! That looked well scary and i dont know how brave i would be on the whole put-sider-in-mouth thing!! Kim is just so funny...and i hope she's in it for the long haul as well as George Hamilton. As for the rest, they were quite boring! and I am really looking forward to seeing Katie in the Jungle, i actaully like her when u take away the im-such-a-hard-soul exterior. I hope she does well.

Ugh! Sad list of people on show yet again. Must be a directory A-Z of saddos that are available for reality TV. Laughed at Sam Fox being called ex-glamour model - eh I think it was called page 3 girl in crappy sun newspaper!
