Desperate Housewives - Mama Spent Money When She Had None

It seems even the Wisteria ladies can’t escape the current economic meltdown with both Susan and Lynette feeling the pinch.

Feeling the pinchPoor Lynette’s woes continue to mount and this time it was Tom’s mid-life crisis, ie his mustang that paid the price. Now while I admire how feisty and determined Lynette can be you have to wonder why she relented to let her husband purchase ‘Foxy’,as he affectionately calls it, in the first place!

Maybe I’m being a bit harsh but personally I think a swift kick up the behind would have sorted out his so-called ‘mid-life crisis’. In fairness jamming with his band while Lynette struggles to keep his family together, have some spine man!! He did slightly redeem himself in my eyes this week by not revealing to Lynette the truth about Dave, I’m glad he finally put his wife’s mental health before his own and decided to deal with the situation himself.

While the misery is heaped on Lynette each week it seems Bree’s star is most definitely on the rise. Hearing of Lynette’s money troubles she offers her friend $20,000 but money and friendship is a dangerous combination and when Lynette offers her a stake in Scavo’s you just know it won’t end well. I don’t know about anyone else but I would have celebrated my friend’s success by pocketing the cheque! Does that make me weak?? Anyway you do have to wonder how this pair will sort their differences out.

As for Susan, I’m just downright bored of her character, although the most interesting thing she has done this season is get a job! So cute little MJ shall go to the ball. Anyone else think the scenes of her prancing around Katherine’s house looking for the pearls was just a bit ridiculous??

The other big reveal this week was of course when Lee tells Tom that Dave is the one who told the police that Porter started the fire at the nightclub. It is amazing that apart from Mrs McCloskey nobody else can spot the cartoon villain – mad hair, manic eyes, he’d definitely have me running in the opposite direction! This storyline is hotting up nicely for the next episode.

Leaving the showI can’t go without mentioning the big news that was announced today that our beloved Edie aka Nicolette Sheridan is leaving the show! Do we think psycho Dave will play a part in her downfall, all comments gratefully welcome.

oh no... i'm lovin Edie and a few more scene's with her and Susan would of been brilliant - classic comedy moments with those two. I loved the one where they got locked in the cellar.
