Desperate Housewives - Bargaining
Ah yes, everyone loves a good bargain but at what price? This week saw everyone on Wisteria Lane trading, bartering and selling their souls in order to get what they wanted for themselves.
Bree v Orson
I don't like Orson, never really have, but I still feel a little bit of sympathy for him now. He's bitten off more than he can chew with Bree and things are probably about to get very nasty, especially with devious Carl involved. I love how Bree likes to think of herself as a good and fair person, until of course that means that she can't get her own way. Then it's a completely different story.
Poor Little MJ
It sucks to be MJ these days. OK, so the kid gets plenty of treats but he's being used left, right and centre. He's being forced to prompt his dad to come up with a marriage proposal, his mother is marrying a man for legal reasons, he has to bring the kid he hates to his sleepover in order to help his neighbour's divorce proceedings and the psycho next door is possibly plotting to kidnap or kill him and his mother. Rough times for the cute little fella. (And no matter how cute he is he still can't get away with delivering lines like "the things I do for macaroons" – daft).
Tom's mid-life crisis
Poor Tom seems to be turning into a crazy man these days and he plays it well. Right now, he's a man on the edge and it's not very attractive. Bring back loveable sweet Tom. It was more fun when Lynette was the neurotic one. She suits freaked-out mom better than laid-back Tom suits crazy dad (speaking of which, where did their kids disappear to?!).
Scatty Susan
So Susan has yet another crazy scam up her sleeve and this time, even for Susan, it's a big one. She goes from being a single, happy mother to being a bawling, broken-hearted wreck and then, on a whim, she decides to marry a man that doesn't love her just so that he can get a visa. Yeah, it's all very Susan but it's still a bit far fetched. Obviously there are plans to implicate Jackson in the club fire down the line but for now the storyline is a bit flat. Jackson has been out of the picture for so long that I've stopped caring about him as a character. Sorry Jackson – out of sight and all that…
The saga goes on…
Will Dave ever get caught? Does anyone even care anymore? Has the storyline been dragged on for far too long? For me the whole thing has lost its momentum completely. I want a new mystery and a more believable bad guy than Dave.
