Big Brother - Give It Up Already!

Big Brother the summer is clearly over so will you please release the contestants and your audience from the prolonged torture of this series.

If things had wrapped up a month ago we would have walked away saying there had been a reasonable amount of drama with the Noirín/Marcus/Siavash/Isaac quadrangle, Freddie’s torture by Queen Bea and the early divided house when Lisa ruled the roost. As it is people like Kris left so long ago that I struggle to remember his and the other contestants’ names. Anyone recall Beinazir? Not me!

The most interesting people have left the building. For me only Marcus and Freddie are memorable. People like Noirín have had their 15 minutes of undressed fame so it is hard to believe that the show is still trucking along.

The end of term feeling in the house is manifesting itself in different ways for the remaining inmates. Lisa has rediscovered her inner ‘incredible hulk’ and is snarling at anyone who is not David. David himself is just cooking more Yorkshire puddings and drinking tea. Charlie is twitchy – his desperation to win is causing erratic mood swings and leading him to behave like a confused ten-year-old. Rodrigo is in a similar position but managing to keep it in check. These boys really want to win this thing and I think they are set for disappointment.

My main concern for Siavash at this point is for his personal hygiene. Is anyone else obsessed with the fact that he has been wearing that get-up since last week? And where did he get that jumper? Is his unitard being laundered by BB at night or has he been wearing it all the time? Sophie has her own problems - chiefly with her hair. Seriously girl cut it right back and start from scratch. Otherwise you will go bald.

Comedy moment of last night for me was the non-break out that four of the housemates staged. Did you ever see such a lack of enthusiasm particularly from Charlie and Rodrigo? Eventually Charlie said he was going to have a shower and that was the end of that. Siavash and Sophie did seem a little more interested but not that much.

The fact is the audience feels pretty much as they do so roll on Friday night.

I thought Lisa acted really badly to the whole nominations video - she knew that everyone had to nominate and so why was she so annoyed at Siavash nominating her - I know she was peed off with him saying that he only nominated her twice but it was more but i think she was just annoyed that he nominated her at all, which is stupid coz its not like she ever went up for eviction as a result of him nominating her. and the way she went off at charlie after that was ott, he was only trying to have a laugh. Really enjoyed the four sitting having a laugh at the thought of the final week being lisa and david sitting round smoking and having tea - was very funny. Think Lisa will go 2nite and then david next...

Today will be Lisa's last day in the BB house. I'd love to be wrong about that, just to annoy all the 'die-hard' fans who've moaned about her for so long, but given that it's a vote to evict, I can't see Charlie picking up more votes than Lisa. I wish that BB hadn't hesitated when the 'fabulous foursome' had said they wanted to leave. Just for the laugh, could BB not have said 'Thank you Housemates, the door to the right is now open, please proceed through it immediately'? They could have always let them back in, after 12 hours or so. I'm fed up of Siavash trying to dictate so much, and generally, I'm looking forward to the series being over. Like you say, it's well fizzled out at this stage. Sophie and Rodders may be the final two - with Sophie winning, I would think. Roll on 'I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!!!!'

Does anyone else think that the show being on at 10pm is too late?! It's playing havoc with my schedule!!!

Big brother like any other story has start, middle and end,the only problem is that it was the middle that was entertaining and the less said about the start and especially the end the better. I agree Bree. They might as well finish it up now and give Jade Goody wannabe and the very non-genuine Sophie the crown. The real winners have already left(Freddie & Marcus) and Siavash wont win it either so I have just about lost interest albeit a good episode(rare) last night. So what could of been a decent last couple of weeks we have got Charlie the annoying little 8 year old,Lisa and Dave the Batman and Robin of the tabacco and tea world(zzzzzzz) and Rodrigo the spoilt brat cry baby. Hopefully Big Brother have learnt some valuable lessons this year.

Last night's episode was the best in quite a while with the un-masking of Lisa, who really showed what a piece of work she really is. All of the reactions to the previous nominations were hillarious, and the snide comments afterwards (primarily by the Dark Lady herself) really shocked the rest of the housemates (why has it taken so long??). I think that she'll go tonight with any luck and then we'll have a few days of David moping around the house. Still clinging to the hope that Siavash will win!! :)

They need Rachel and Kat from last year's show in there, screeching "Happy Hou'! Happy Hou'!" and getting all excited about grapes and chickpeas.
