Big Brother - And Now The End is Near!

I was a little unimpressed with the amateur dramatics of Siavash last night to be honest. I would like him to win but the last minute wobble was surprising and probably did for his chances of taking home the not so big prize.

Let’s face it if a housemate genuinely wants to leave they are allowed to do so and Siavash’s heart didn’t really seem to be in it. He articulated the conflict he had himself by saying the house was addictive which meant, “yup I think it would be cool to be that guy who ducked out the back five minutes from the end forfeiting the chance of winning but really I’d quiet like to hang around just in case.”

So hang around he did and then he fibbed to the housemates when they questioned his long absence. I am still backing him to win, although I don’t think he will, because he is without doubt the most interesting one left. While he was in the diary room wrestling with his choice, the rest of the group seemed totally lost without him and called an early halt to the party.

Someone who did win a few brownie points last night was David (I never thought I would say that). His reaction to receiving a birthday card from Vivienne Westwood was genuinely touching. The fashion designer seems an unlikely idol for David but the card seems to have had huge significance for him and you know when he said he would treasure it for ever that he actually will. I also liked his list of birthday party requests – vol-au-vents, pizza, chips and balloons. He was like a giddy kid giving his mam a list of requirements for his party. Perhaps if Lisa had gone earlier he may have had more of an opportunity to be his own man in the house.

And so that’s the end of that, Sophie is likely to win and no doubt we will all have forgotten most of their names by Christmas at which time we will be totally absorbed by ‘The X Factor’ and ‘Strictly Come Dancing’. I hope the bosses at BB can pull it out of the bag next year before giving the show a decent burial.

Will I be watching tonight? I will flick over to see who wins but I reckon Tubs gets my vote with ‘The Late Late’. Sorry Davina!

Comments:

I agree Bree, Siavash did himself no favours last night with all that "I have to leave to try and make it up to my ex- girlfriend boloni", the real reason as he admited later was that he got a bit freaked about leaving the house and the interview with Davina, he has kinda gone down a bit in my estimations. I thought it was a really nice gesture that Charlie went to the effort of making David a t-shirt and getting him the slice of cake and the can and David was really chuffed with it - but I still couldn't help thinking - was Charlie doing it to look good??? Although I do think Charlie has the biggest game plan of all and was fairly two-faced througout the series, at least he had a worthy cause for the winnings..am looking forward to the finale tonight even tho I don't really care who wins at this stage!!

Siavash is a total game player. This made him a massively entertaining and worthy housemate. However, in last night's episode, Siavash let himself down. He played the viewing public off as a fool and with it he's lost any chance of winning the show. Hope Sophie doesn't win, people seem to forget that she did make a up a fake relationship in the house to gain herself extra magazine deals after the show. She is not a innocent as she looks. Whoever wins I really enjoyed this year's bb and your accompanying blog. Thanks.

I totally agree with "S"... I WAS a Siavash fan but after last nite's performance... NO.. he stole the lime-light on David's party.. he should have waited till the party was over and then went back into the Diary room. The deserving winners have gone Marcus/Freddie. Sophie to win.. aaah but Charlie's Mam needs whatever cash is in the pot..so torn now!!!Thanks Harry,Linda and Bree for the v entertaining blogs.. I'll be lonely without them in work on Mon am.I'll be sky-plussing the Final AND my idol Ryan T so I can flick from one to the other..
