A Blog Not About Katie!
So I totally shot myself in the foot yesterday by deciding that a recently departed campmate would be ‘The Woman Who Will No Longer Be Mentioned’ in this blog.
Therefore I am absolutely not allowed to write about the fact that this woman went live on television last night to dump her boyfriend, apologise for her bad behaviour and practically declare her continuing love for her former husband. If I was writing about this subject I would say you couldn’t script this stuff. I half expected the saga to be wrapped up last night with the must-discussed Pete riding in on a white charger and the pair bursting into a rousing chorus of ‘A Whole New World’.
George read it just right when he said of ‘The Woman Who Will No Longer Be Mentioned’ “In a strange way it’s a smart move, not a dumb one”. Yet again she got maximum publicity and now the battle to win Pete back gets underway in earnest. I have to say, that is if I was free to write about this subject, that she did come over well in the interview and I kind of believed her. Oh dear have I been brain-washed?
Anyway back to matters I am allowed to write about, apparently Lucy was the first person voted out of camp last night. A nice, uncomplicated mother of one leaving the camp with a cheery smile delighted to see her daughter. Her interview lasted just two minutes due to earlier more important issues. At least she leaves confident she was not the least popular person in camp as only three faced eviction.
Undoubtedly the most unpopular person with the public is Kim and I would be amazed if she was not the next to go. All credit to her and Joe for their performance in the bushtucker trial (or BTT as they will be referred to in future – thanks to Blog commenter Rachel for that one). They are however, it has to be said, the oddest pair in there! You could imagine them as a married couple – she with her dearees and lovees and he with his darlings. I can’t see either of them lasting the week.
Finally people are starting to leave the camp which should give us more time to enjoy George and Gino. At the moment I would like to see either of them win!
It will be interesting to see how the show fares without Katie (Oops sorry I mentioned her!).
