Davison avoids 'showdown' at style awards

Rosanna Davison has reportedly pulled out of the VIP Style Awards at the last minute, thus avoiding a possible showdown with fellow model Glenda Gilson.

Despite being nominated for an award, the Herald claims Rosanna will turn up for the red-carpet walk, but will then jet off on a five-star holiday.

Davison's withdrawal comes after a week of huge attention over her trip away with model Gilson's ex Johnny Ronan (55).

Ronan whisked Davison to Marrakesh last weekend, within hours of a major public bust-up with Glenda.

Speaking to the Herald Rosanna said: "I can only do the red-carpet pics as I've to catch a flight to London on Friday evening for a few days of skiing which has been planned since early January."

And she said there would be "no point" in bringing along her other half Wesley Quirke as her date to the bash in the Shelbourne Hotel, given that she would only be staying a short while. Yet she has insisted that all is still well between them.
