The Countdown is nearly over, as every Leaving Cert student and parent knows Wednesday 17th August is Results Day. Well don’t fear, RTÉ 2fm has it covered. Paddy McKenna returns to present¬ a special one-hour Leaving Certificate results programme bringing listeners the best advice from Ireland’s finest career guidance councillors and experts. Join us from 7-8pm on 2fm and online from 8pm for a special webchat with our guests.

During this hour-long show, studio guests Brian Mooney and Honor McAndrew will discuss the implications of results on CAO options and how to deal with the results – good or bad. Dr Ian Gargan will also be on hand to offer advice to any stressed out student. And what about those planning on going straight into work? A special podcast will provide those choosing not to go to college with essential tips on CV writing and job interview techniques from a career specialist, Paula Mullin.
